Death means -
The migration
of words and meanings
From the street of heart,
On the leaves of passion,
the footprints of autumn
Death means -
walking again and again
on the road
of sterile radif and kafiya.
Continuing to read
proofs of old poems,
To lose the hope
that the best poems
are yet to be born.
Death means -
The wings are eaten away
by the pest
The blue paper of sky
burns to ashes
in the window.
Death means -
When black grass
begins to grow
In the moon’s
Eyes,
Ears,
Mouth,
Breast,
Navel.
Death means…
